<p>What about Group Meditation? People used to think you have to to the Himalayas or go to a cave to get your Enlightenment and that is what people did a long time ago and are still doing now &#8211; but &#8211; The time is different now and what is cool is Group Meditation.</p>
<p>When we are new to meditation, Kundalini Energy in most people is weak. This energy is what takes us into meditation. It rises up through the spine passing through the chakras, pierces through the top of our head and unites us with the Divine letting us feel the Joy and Bliss.</p>
<p>Depending on how strong our Kundalini energy is, would be how long we can stay in meditation. If our energy is not strong the energy falls and we fall out of meditation. When meditating at home there is just you. when we meditate in a group, all of the subtle systems join into one larger collective body. So if I have a weak chakra, you may have a strong one which makes up one perfect collective chakra system and we all go into a deeper state of meditation.</p>
<p>When you are new, this is critical that you receive this benefit, because otherwise you may feel nothing at all, get discouraged and stop trying all together.</p>
<p>So &#8211; come to the class &#8211; it&#8217;s free</p>
<p>Learn the basics</p>
<p>Meditate at home <strong>every day</strong> for at least 5 minutes morning and evening</p>
<p>Keep coming to the class and attend larger collective meditations around Toronto with us</p>

<p>I was looking for a topic to write about and I found the word <strong>Mindfulness</strong>. I found this an interesting word related to meditation. it is used in the Buddhist teachings and is supposed to be the correct amount of things in your mind. What I want is mind emptiness   <img src='http://waterloomeditation.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />   I have enough stuff going on in my mind as I am sure you do as well.</p>
<p>As the Kundalini energy <a title=" meditation animation" href="http://waterloomeditation.com/meditation/chakras" target="_self">passes through</a> the 6th chakra the energy sucks in our thoughts, taking our attention above our mind where it is connected with the Divine in the bliss of Enlightenment.</p>
<p>So &#8211;  the Kundalini is the key to our meditation. You want to feel another dimension of lightness, joy, content at peace, thoughtless, bliss, unatatched to things trying to take our attention but totally aware of everything, feeling that there is new awareness about time.  These are some of the things you may feel when you are in meditation. In the beginning you may just experience the state of meditation for a very short while ( a few seconds ) but as you grow the length of meditation will increase. For you to grow you need to practice meditation.  Learn how to watch your thoughts (witness ) as they come and don&#8217;t react on them.</p>
<p>Turn your <strong>Mindfulness</strong> into mind emptiness &#8211; I am wishing for you the state of Enlightenment.</p>

<p>Hey Everybody! Back to <strong>Kitchener Meditation</strong> and Work <img src='http://waterloomeditation.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> -</p>
<p>Everyone have a good Holiday? My wife and I went to Germany and got to see lots of Yogi friends. Back home now and we went to our first class of the year in Kitchener Waterloo. we touched on some nice things last night that were more advanced level.</p>
<p>One thing was the unique quality of Shri Mataji&#8217;s photograph. I remember when I started meditating in Sahaja Yoga about 16 years ago that I thought it funny strange that the photo of Shri Mataji always looked like she was looking at me and on some days she would look happy and some days she would look not so happy with me. Wierd Huh!  Yes &#8211; nobody told me this I noticed it my self.</p>
<p>The reason is &#8211; Her photograph is like a reflecter and it is reflecting back to me the state of my chakras. So if my chakras are all messed up &#8211; which does happen with all of us, I can see Her expression is not happy with me and I know I should do some treatments like: footsoaking, Ajwian, camphor for the left side or right side treatments so I come back into balance.</p>
<p><em><strong>We never stay in the same place</strong></em> in our ascent &#8211; we are either evolving to a higher spiritual being one with the universe &#8211; or to a lower human awareness focused on the material, money lust, comforts, ego. It&#8217;s like a direction of the stock market &#8211; daily, it is generally going higher or lower. What&#8217;s your trend?</p>
<p>I meditate with Her photograph on a small alter with a little candle and incense &#8211;  the photograph emits great vibrations and improves meditation. I also keep my eye on the photo once in a while to see how I&#8217;m doing.</p>

<p><strong>Kundalini</strong> is an energy inside every human being &#8211; located in the tail bone area. This energy rises up our spine when we are meditating. It has to pass through 6 energy centers called <strong>Chakras</strong> and then the energy peirces through the top of our head at the fontenale bone area ( the soft spot on a baby&#8217;s head). this is the Union or Yoga with the Divine. When this happens we then might feel the things that we associate with the state of meditation. Bliss, Feeling lighter, No thoughts, &#8230;..  In Sahaja Yoga We also feel a very subtle  Cool Breeze  on our hands and on the top of our head as well as around our body &#8211; kind of surrounding us &#8211; moving &#8211; Innocently loving caressing and protecting us &#8211; it is an energy that is alive. This energy Shri Mataji has called Parama Chaitanya &#8211; or The energy that is doing the creating work of the Divine (Roughly explained)</p>
<p>It has been said that it has many strands like a rope and it seems to me that when we meditate maybe 100 come up and on a good day 500 may come up and if we are meditating regularly every day maybe 800 come up and we&#8217;ll call it a great meditation. After were done we may be on a cloud  for hours feeling like were still in meditation &#8211; walking, working, driving &#8211; in a state of bliss &#8211; but totally aware of everything. Not in some trance.</p>
<p>When the first <strong>Chakra</strong> is working properly it acts like a tap which turns on the water. the water flows up the spine and out the fonetanale area and as long as the tap is on the water keeps flowing out. We stay in meditation. When the tap is turned off the water falls down and settles back down at the bottom of the spine until we meditate again.</p>
<p>When we are new &#8211; the first <strong>Chakra</strong> is weak in most people coming from the west and the <strong>Kundalini</strong> keeps falling and we go out of meditation. We need to sit on Mother Earth to clean this <strong>Chakra</strong> and then We will have  stronger meditations which last longer.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to add something here &#8211; because I think it&#8217;s important.</p>
<p>There is also another energy that rises inside of us &#8211; and it is very similar &#8211; it is a sexual energy and it rises very much like the <strong>Kundalini</strong> but it will create a lot of tingles in our hands, heat and a lustful feeling of bliss.</p>
<p>This is nothing like the <strong>Kundalini</strong> that will take you to the highest spiritual place &#8211; Where you merge totally with the Divine and on a great day &#8211; You would feel like a Divine Super Human Being here on earth. <strong>Anger, Lust and Greed</strong> are the 3 enemies of those on the path to Enlightenment.</p>
<p>The Spirit in us is above these desires.  You can just focus your desire to be one with the Divine and this heat energy will fall and you will be left with the cool breeze that I was talking about.</p>
<p>Most people should&#8217;nt have a problem with this but many people in the past have tried to awaken the <strong>Kundalini </strong>by mixing it with sex and this is the opposite of the Kundalini -  which is a innocent, pure, loving energy which is your pure desire to be one with God.</p>
<p>Not something I enjoy writing about but I have been blessed with a gift that I can feel things very subtle and I want you to experience the True Bliss of Enlightenment.</p>
