Tongues Of Flames Rising From The Top Of The Head

Did I ever say this meditation is a spiritual thing? I think I did – anyway I found this great picture and it shows a flame on the top of the head. In Sahaja Yoga when you come to a program the first night you will get your Self Realization ( also called: Yoga or Enlightenment) this is where your energy called Kundalini - is awakened and it rises from the bottom of your spine, in the tailbone to the top of your head and this energy peirces through the top of the skull. I felt it and it feels like a baloon releasing pressure slowly – So it dosen’t hurt!!

When we meditate the energy is flowing out the top of our head and for one this is really great for releasing a lot of pressure that is built up inside of ourselves. secondly what happens is that this energy brings our attention above the mind – and the effect is that we have the ability to have peaceful thoughts. We normally use the term thoughtless but I think it can be confusing to new people (although it is true – no thoughts! ) So our attention becomes one with the Divine and we tend to have spiritual peaceful thoughts and in good meditations no thoughts.

One thing that helped me was when I learned to seperate the Ego from the Spirit. The Ego is a manufactured personality. From our childhood we say ” I like this, I like that, I do this, I don’t do that .. and all of these conditionings are what makes up Me. The Ego wants things usually and the spirit is happy with Green Grass, Blue Sky, Sunshine, Nice Music, Art. So I can’t tell you what are the things your spirit likes but if you can watch yourself and remember that: THE EGO THINKS HE’S BOSS BUT IN REALITY THE SPIRIT CAN TELL EGO – SHUT UP

This will get rid of most of the noise (talking) in your head when your trying to meditate

Put your hand above your head and feel the energy rising out the top – this is where you want your attention
